Users are advised to have 2 login sessions to maintain a stable connection between WhatsApp and Pancake. Please follow the process below to connect them.
You can easily sign up and access to Personal Whatsapp through either Whatsapp or Whatsapp Business application.
Step 1: Go to Pancake. Click “Connect”, choose “Whatsapp” → “Add new account”
The QR on Pancake will show up.
Step 2: Open the WhatsApp App on your phone.
Choose “Linked devices” to scan the QR code.

Once the login is done, Pancake system will automatically scan your Whatsapp’s history chat on your device and synchronize it with Pancake.
Step 3: Repeat the steps above to log in 1 more time. This way, Pancake will have 2 active sessions (devices) connected to your WhatsApp number. When 1 session encounter an error, we can still maintain the stable connection with the other one, ensuring seamless communication.
Personal Whatsapp doesn’t charge by conversation.
Whatsapp API is designed exclusively for businesses, and can meet a variety of complicated sales requirements (more templates, automatic reply, verified green tick). Whatsapp API does charge by conversation.
Whatsapp API allows you to automatically reply to and consult with your customers. You can use Botcake to set up the automatic flows for your Whatsapp API after successfully connection.
For the best possible experience with Whatsapp API, you need to sign in and create an account on both Pancake and Botcake, and connect to Whataspp API afterward.
Conditions for connecting and using Whatsapp API :
Your Business Manager account (BM) needs to be verified (an unverified account limits the number of daily conversations).
The phone number must not be connected to a personal Whatsapp account. If that phone number is already connected to a personal Whatsapp, you must delete that account in order to connect to Whatsapp API.
The account using to connect to Whatsapp API must be the admin of BM.
To connect, please click “Connect”, choose “Whatsapp” → “Add new account” → “Whatsapp API” → “Connect to Whatsapp Business”
A window will pop up and you will be transferred to Meta’s Embedded Signup
Choose “Continue as …” to log in your FB account.
Choose “Continue” to start.
Choose the BM account you want to use to sign up for Whatsapp API.
Create Whatsapp account.
Fill in your Whatsapp Business profile:
Whatsapp Business Account Name: displaying the name of your Whatsapp - this one’s displayed on BM in order to distinguish yours from others, it ain’t shown for your clients.
Whatsapp Business Profile Display Name: the name shown on your Whatsapp profile - which your clients can see.

Add the phone number you want to sign up for Whatsapp.
After adding the phone number, Meta will send an OTP, use this to connect Whatsapp API.
In order to use Whatsapp API, creating a prepaid Pancake wallet is essential.
In Pancake, choose “Manage your account” → “Connect”
You will be transferred to the Account page of Pancake. Click “Sign up” to create a wallet account. This account will be registered with your email.
After successfully create you account, choose “Pancake Wallet”
Click "+ Creat New" to add a new wallet. Choose a name for your wallet and choose currency (USD).
Click Continue
Add your card information to Pancake wallet. We use Stripe as our paygate.
Click "Link card" to confirm the linking. You should see the "Unlink Card" once successfully connected.
Pancake won't save your card information.
Choose “Continue” to go to the Topup step.
Choose "Stripe" then click to "Topup" to add the credit to your wallet.
After a successful top-up, your wallet will appear on the account setting on Pancake as the next step.
Go to https://pancake.vn/account you will see your wallet in the list
Click the Setting icon to setup the WhatsApp using the Pancake Wallet credit.
Choose your WhatsApp then click Save.
You're all done!
You can start to message to your customer on WhatsApp now!
